1. Actinic Keratoses 

Actinic Keratoses (AKs) are precancerous growths that show up as scaly spots or patches on the neck, head, forearms or neck. If left untreated, it can progress to a form of skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma. AKs typically appear after 40 years of age because they tend to develop after years of sun exposure.

2. Squamous Cell Carcinoma 

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) accounts for about 30 percent of non-melanoma skin cancers. SCC usually develops on the neck, head, forearms, hands or lower legs. It often shows up as a red, scaly spot. It may look like a sore that has not healed. It's possible for SCCs to spread to other parts of the body if left untreated.

3. Basal Cell Carcinoma

Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) makes up about 70 percent of non-melanoma skin cancers. BCC usually develops on the neck, head and upper body. It may appear as a waxy lump or a scaly area that is shiny and pink in color. BCC may become inflamed and bleed, and dead tissue may slough off. Often BCCs have no symptoms. The earlier a BCC is found, the easier it will be to treat.

4. Melanoma

Melanoma is the least common type of skin cancer but it's the most serious. Melanoma can appear as a new spot or an existing spot that changes color, shape or size. Melanoma has an irregular surface or edge, and it may be more than one color such as red, blue, grey, white, black or brown. The earlier it is diagnosed, the better the chance of cure.
